1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device. It lets the site recognise your browser while you move between pages.
This notice says which cookies our website uses and why. It sits alongside our privacy notice, which covers personal data more generally.
2. The cookies we use
Our website sets one cookie, and only when you sign in to the training portal. We set it ourselves. No other company sets cookies through our site.
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| __Host-mb_portal | Keeps you signed in to the training portal after you enter the code we email you. It holds a random value and nothing else about you. | 12 hours, or until you sign out |
Visiting the rest of the site, booking a training session or sending us a message sets no cookie.
While you browse, our website keeps one more thing in your browser's session storage: the scroll position of the pages you have visited, so the back button returns you to the same place. If a page fails to load, it also notes that it has already tried to reload once. Neither holds any information about you, and your browser deletes both when you close the tab.
3. Cookies and your consent
Dutch law, in article 11.7a of the Telecommunicatiewet, lets a website set cookies without asking where they are strictly necessary to deliver the service you asked for.
The portal cookie is strictly necessary to give you the signed-in portal you asked for. Without it you would have to enter a new code on every page. The session storage only makes the site's own pages work as you move between them. Both are exempt, so we do not ask for consent and do not show a cookie banner.
We use no analytics, no advertising and no tracking pixels. We do not use any cookie to build a profile of you or to study what you do on our site, and we do not sell what our website records.
4. If another cookie is added
If we ever add a cookie that is not strictly necessary, such as one for visitor statistics, we will ask for your consent before it is set, and you can refuse without losing access to the site. We update this notice before anything changes.
5. Controlling cookies yourself
Your browser can block or delete cookies. Look under Settings, then Privacy. If you block our cookie you cannot stay signed in to the training portal. The rest of the site works without it.
6. Cookies and your personal data
Where a cookie holds information that can identify you, our privacy notice explains what we do with it, how long we keep it and what rights you have. You can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
7. Changes to this notice
We update this notice when the cookies on our site change. The version and the dates are at the top.
